Erasmus is a European Union student exchange programme created in 1987. Erasmus+ or Erasmus Plus is the new programme combining all current EU programmes for education, training, youth and sport, which started in January 2014.

High quality inclusive education and training, as well as informal and non-formal learning, actually equip young people and participants of all ages with the qualifications and skills needed for their effective participation in democratic society, intercultural understanding and successful transition to the labour market.
